We put some time into Five Live Studios’ Satellite Reign pre-alpha game that is currently available via Steam Early Access. Set within a futuristic city environment, player take control of a four man squad of cybernectically enhanced ‘agents’ as they conduct various shadowy missions. The game is a real-time, class-based strategy affair which if you’re familiar with Synidcate or Syndicate Wars, then you’ll know exactly what to expect. Aside from some control issues, problems with saves and odd AI behaviours, the game is pretty fun to play and well worth it if you’re a fan. Naturally purchasing now will grant access to any future updates and the full game when it releases but has to be said, it’s playable in its current state despite some obvious issues which might be worth holding out for until the game is more stabilized – ie. the save file glitch is fixed.
